I am so happy to see my aluminum sculpture “Let’s Dance Together” installed at Emeryville Senior Center! It was commissioned by Emeryville Public Art Committee on behalf of Emeryville City. My design was approved in February 2024, and it was installed on 6th January 2024. I must express my gratitude to the entire team that helped me to create and get the sculpture installed in the Senior Center. First, thanks to Alex at Pagoda Arts for designing my sketch in 3D software. Thanks to Kehl Pelman who fabricated it in aluminum at his workshop- Triton Waterjet at Napa. I transported the sculpture to Oakland, and it was polished at General Grinding and welded at 3D Studios in Oakland. Jim Perkins painted the wall, and the pedestal with cherry finish was created by Jack Hurth who works at Thomas Pedemonte Fine Woodworking at Sawtooth Studio, Berkeley. Finally, Jack installed it onsite on Saturday and my dream came true!
It is great to have art installed in public places and I am especially happy about this commission from Emeryville public art committee as I live in this city.
