“Courage” Tradition

On Saturday I attended an Ordination ceremony at The Chaplaincy Institute in Berkeley and I have been inspired by one graduating student’s remark who said “In US why are we asked as what faith tradition we follow when we apply for jobs? We should be asked what Courage tradition we follow as “courage” is another word for faith.” I have been thinking that would be simply great as we can write what inspires us, what motivates us, what influences us to face life with “courage” We will be proud to say that as “Islam inspires me to live with courage” instead of writing just “Islam.” Just imagine all labels will be erased and we will feel free and proud talking about our “Courage Tradition” and feel inspired by listening others’ traditions of courage because we all like courage stories… ..
