Bay Stories is a series inspired by the shifting landscapes and layered histories of the San Francisco Bay Area. The work reflects on water, migration, ecology, and memory—where tides carry not only sediments, but also stories of movement, belonging, and change.
Through flowing forms, calligraphic gestures, and organic textures, the paintings evoke wetlands, currents, and unseen networks beneath the surface. The Bay becomes both a physical and metaphorical space—holding traces of indigenous presence, ecological transformation, and contemporary life.
This series is a meditation on place: how land and water remember us, and how we, in turn, are shaped by the environments we inhabit.
